The SRT-350® 8-Post system has 2 tube sleeves/wood posts, 6 wood CRT posts, and installs on a parabolic flare. The parabolic flare has a “footprint” similar to the previously used BCTs and MELTs. Strategically located slots in the W-beam rail design helps to initiate controlled buckling.
*After an impact, the product must be inspected and evaluated per the direction of the specifying roadway authority. The ultimate decision on reusability rests with the specifying roadway authority and/or state DOT.
